Ayurvedic Yoga Massage - AYM

The AYM is a body treatment that combines elements of deep massage, passive stretching and breath work for an experience of rejuvenation and vitality.

This particular technique was developed by Kusum Modak who combined the practice of Iyengar yoga - with stretching movements  that aims to restructure the body by aligning the spine and working the joints - and traditional deep tissue massage with oil that can be used as part of the treatment, to stimulate the skin and pull out toxins from the body to improved circulation on the back, neck and feet.

The massage is made on a mattress on the floor which allows me to use a highly effective stretching technique.

An AYM session typically takes between 75 and 90 minutes, receiving AYM regularly brings many benefits to reach to the individual needs that brings a sense of openness and wellbeing on a physical, mental and emotional level, including:

reduces muscle tension

relieves stress & induces relaxation

increases mobility &

range of movement

maintains proprioceptive sensitivity

eases joint pain

restores and maintains vitality levels

improves breathing capacity

promotes circulation

realigns body structure

improves flexibility

supports recovery

from sports injuries

facilitates restful sleep

Rebuilding your relationship with your body can pave the way to a more integrated and fulfilling presence and existence, enhancing both your mental and physical well-being.

Humans are embodied entities. I personally think that if you try to disconnect the mind from the body it leads in a very dangerous direction, that will be destructive psychologically and socially
